The Ahlberg Academy Difference
Ahlberg Academy is an accredited private Christian K-12 school. Our award-winning teaching method and unique proprietary curriculum equips students for lifelong success. We provide flexible education for every family through a network of one-room schools, an online school, and a homeschool program.

The One-Room School Model
From the very beginning of our republic, education was considered of paramount importance to Americans. The one-room school produced a citizenry with the highest literacy rate in our nation’s history. Today well over $12k per student is spent per year in public schools, yet many of our students lack basic skills. We must ask ourselves: What have we lost?
The one-room school was a community project that brought parents, teachers, and leaders together for one purpose: providing a God-centered education. Constructing the schoolhouse, hiring the teacher, determining curriculum, and scheduling the sessions was a community effort, not a government-imposed system. The result successfully provided students with a valuable education, knowledge of the Constitution, faith in God, and strong moral values - contributing to the wellbeing of the community and the nation as a whole.
A Different Approach
We believe education begins at home, not at school. Parents are the first and best educators, entrusted with stewardship of their children by God. At Ahlberg Academy we see ourselves as partners with parents, facilitating curriculum and encouraging in students an independent desire to learn and grow.
As students progress from the basics to a deep
understanding of material, they become teachers
themselves by mentoring younger students and
expressing their creativity. In-person students learn together, all ages in one classroom just like the successful one-room schools of the past.
Students move at their own pace without grade
labels, increasing their confidence. Learning is
individualized, with one-on-one tutoring as needed. Older students are mentored into their chosen path: career, college, or ministry.
